Margarita joined Wellington-Altus in September 2022 and is based in West Vancouver, B.C. She is a Senior Wealth Planner with over fifteen years of experience delivering investment, insurance and wealth planning solutions for high-net-worth clients located in British Columbia. She specializes in creating and implementing tailored wealth solutions for her clients that efficiently maximize their wealth-building opportunities. Her areas of expertise include retirement planning, insurance needs analysis and wealth transfer planning.
Most recently, Margarita managed a centralized financial planning team for a large independent dealer. During that time, she supervised financial planning activity across the firm, created compliance policies and procedures related to the delivery of financial planning advice, and mentored a team of wealth planners to provide suitable advice while delivering great service.
Margarita studied Public Accounting at the Universidad de Los Andes in her native home: Venezuela. Shortly after arriving in Canada in 1999, she completed a Certificate in Financial Planning at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), passed the Life and Accident & Sickness insurance exam and became licensed in BC, Alberta and Ontario. She holds the CFP®️ and CIM designations and obtained the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation to better assist U.S. persons living in Canada with their retirement planning.
In her free time, Margarita enjoys reading and hiking the many trails abundant in North Vancouver with her family.
